Winter trials…

So winter is upon us and the temps have dropped, snow has fallen, and the trials & tribulations of cold weather car life are rearing their ugly heads…

This is very much a trial for the kitty, well, the hydropnumatic suspension anyhow. I’ve been very curious how it was going to respond to frigid weather and the delight of snow & ice.

The verdict so far?? So far, so good. Hopefully this remains a constant…current raised ride height:

Headliner revival..

So my sunroof decided to take its’ own life the other day…great. The tilt/slide brackets are $300+ per side. Fortunately for me, I found a full 2001 sunroof assembly and made an offer. Less than $200 later, I have more than what I need at a fraction of the price.

One problem with replacing the sunroof is that you have to remove the headliner to get to it. In my case it wasn’t a problem, it was a solution. My headliner had seen much better days and an update was in order. Bring on the suede!

So, as the title states…it is done.

For now. As I’ll be adjusting it more and fine tuning it as we go along.

So I just got an email requesting my current mailing address. Is there really light at the end of the tunnel??? Let’s hope…I need to get paint on this car asap. It needs to get back to looking like this:

So…after Jeff from AOE (Auto’s of Europe) and I put our heads together, we actually got somewhere. Turns out the wire going from the brake switch to the rear light control module was shorting, but still showing an unsteady 12v. So it wasn’t easy to notice right away.

So after running some new wire…we’re operational again!! Thanks Jeff…
